The other day, I reported about the insanity that was the cast of Jersey Shore striking to make more money. Never in a million years did I think that these orange-skinned misfits would be able to get paid more for going out drinking and making fools of themselves on television.

I guess I’m not as familiar with the world’s workings as I once thought.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio have officially won the battle against MTV. The four Jersey Shore reality stars will be making $30,000 per episode beginning next season. To think that these kids only made $5,000 per episode during the first season and only $10,000 per episode for the second season.

But what about the other castmates? Well, Vinny GuDagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Sammi Giancola will be making less money than their striking counterparts. And Angelina Pivarnick won’t even be around next season….but I don’t see that causing a lot of upset, for some reason.

But the big paycheck isn’t the only way that some of the reality show’s stars are making bank from their newfound stardom. Apparently, Pauly D pulls in a crapload of money during his DJ gigs (a source reports $80,000 a week), and Snooki earns up to $20,000 for personal appearances.

Gag me.
