Well I am Crystals sister and the movie was completely wrong. She did graduate high school and did not mooch off her in-laws. She was a very well educated woman. So what she made a few wrong desicions in her life. Nobody is perfect. She was a wonderful mom. People if you dont know the facts then you should keep your mouth shut.

Crystal Ann (McGuire) Burchett was named on the Client list and she was written about in a Texas Monthly article titled, She had brains, A Body and the Ability to Make Men Love her.
She was in trouble with the justice system in Kansas as a minor according to her family. She was NOT a beauty queen and she was a high drop out with 2 kids.

The movie is not accurate. Crystal Ann Burchett, was in trouble with the law as a minor, dropped out of high school and had a kid. She mooched off her in-laws.

Story is based on the “Healing Touch Massage Parlor” bust in 2004. It happened in Odessa Tx, one of the girls raised as strict Pentecostal did indeed turn them in to a Minister at church across the street after seeing her Pastor was a client.
“Brandy” really used the name “Lexus” (because she was a smooth ride) & was a former Homecoming Queen in Big Springs. She used her Massage license at a legit physical therapy clinic till they downsized & she lost her job, at the same time her husband, an oil rig worker became ill & couldn’t work. They had 2 small children & appx 8000.00 in past due debt, plus 2 car payments when she went to work at “Gentle Touch” she was 22 when she was busted.

Lifetime changes certain things in a movie for certain peoples protection. Just like in “Little Girl Lost”, they changed the name of the woman that kidnapped Delimar. So that means Bridgette W, you don’t have to stop watching Lifetime just because they change a few things in a “based on a true story” movie.

This story was based on a massage parlor in Odessa, TX. It was called The Healing Touch. The movie was based on Crystal Ann Burchett a 22 year old woman who lived in Big Spring, TX a town a little more than an hour away from here.
I remember when the list came out that my moms CPA and attorney were both on it.

I looked up Samantha Horton and was able to find a myspace account,,,,the woman had 3 kids and a husband named Aron, however I cant say for sure this is the lady because there was a lot that I couldnt read because her page was private. I watched the movie last night and I was curious about the real person.

Well their is a disclaimer in some movies stating that they change the names. But usually it is not that hard to look up information on the character and the stories usually coincide a lot more than the story the Lifetime Movie Network portrayed and the Cynthia Martinez story. As dhb829 mentioned the story took place in West Texas not Dallas. I am not doubting the Cynthia Martinez story on Associated Content is not true. However I have doubts that The Client List movie and the Cynthia Martinez Dallas area story are the same. If so I probably will not be watching anymore LMN movies because I will feel all of their “based on a true story movies” are a sham.

Every place I’ve looked for Samantha Horton (besides the Lifetime website) has been a complete dead end. However, the story of Cynthia Martinez was tied to The Client List through Associated Content, a reputable source.
