Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring have an important mission ahead of them. Everyone knows that. They’ve got to get the ring to Mount Doom so they can cast it into the fiery chasm from whence it came. We also know it’s not going to be easy, as they face off against Nazgul, Balrogs, Orks, Warg riders and the armies of Sauron.

And Sauron is no fool. He knows exactly how to get into your mind… most especially your ear with evil little worms like the World Cup inspired mayhem in this video.

If you’re prone to following video memes, you’ll probably recognize the song and go forth into the rest of your day singing it. “Taking the Hobbits to Isengard,” by Erwin Beekveld is perhaps one of the most annoying songs in the history of the universe, and yet I torment myself with it at least once a month because I’m a fool.

The dancing vuvuzela players are everywhere, putting themselves in front of the Fellowship at every turn to discourage them from going all the way to Mount Doom. I’m telling you, that Sauron is an evil mastermind. This song is going to be stuck in my head for a week, and now it will be stuck in yours too. All part of the evil plan.
