One week from today, on Thursday, June 24, Comedy Central will blast us back to the future with season six of the Matt Groening animated comedy, Futurama. I don’t know about you, but I am jazzed, as no matter how much I tried not to love this show, it’s like drugs. The more you resist it, the harder it is to tear your eyes away.

Comedy Central knows this, and they’re feeding the Futurama junkies with an early preview of episode one of the new season. If you’re new to Futurama, though that’s highly unlikely considering it’s been around for years, you can catch up with everything you’ve missed with the network’s “Recap-O-Rama.” Seasons one through five in seven minutes… you can’t beat that, especially if you have a hard time paying attention.

Five seasons is a lot of catching up to do.

The network has been building up hype for nearly a month now, with their daily peeks and previews on the official Countdown to Futurama website. Featuring screen caps, videos, story boards and special tidbits from the upcoming season for us to munch on, I have to say, season six looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Take seven minutes to catch up on the prior five seasons, and then check out the sneak peek at episode one. It’s good stuff! I promise.
