I am still all jacked up on V after Sunday night’s debut of season three, episode one of HBO’s True Blood. Anyone who’s been following my work here on Real TV Addict already knew they were going to get some kind of True Blood news from me today.

In that vein, I bring you the Vampire King of Mississippi.

Alexander Skaarsgard, who plays Eric Northman in the series, sat down to interview Denis O’Hare, who was cast to play the role of Vampire King Russel who will be introduced to the True Blood plot in season three. The exclusive HBO.com interview is hilarious, as Skaarsgard and O’Hare battle it out to reveal who takes their vampire role more seriously.

The debut of season three was fantastic.

Not only was it chock full of Eric walking around in the buff, but it ended on a great cliffhanger as Bill came face to face with the werewolves set to dominate the season. We got a sneak peek at Sam Merlotte’s birth family, Jason’s emotional crisis after shooting Tara’s boyfriend, Tara’s nervous breakdown and babyvamp Jessica’s attempt to turn an accidental murder victim into a vampire to cover her tracks.

It was everything I hoped for, though after my epic marathon of seasons one and two, I’m going to have a hard time waiting for Sundays each week. Maybe I could build a time machine or something… blast forth into the future and watch all the episodes now, and then point and laugh at everyone who hasn’t seen them yet.

Okay, that would just be cruel… but I certainly don’t have a reputation for being nice. Now if I could just find a flux capacitor.

Check out the interview here, and then check back in and let me know what you thought of the season premiere? Was it everything you hoped, or a big fat disappointment?
