Patrick Mulligan of Cringe Humor assures us that he’s not a camera whore. In fact, he hates being in front of the camera. But his video is for our own good, he promises us. It’s to expose us to the crap that lies beneath the surface of The Last Comic Standing.
After comparing the reality show to American Idol, Patrick goes on to say that the show pretty much sucks. It’s a “sham,” “fake,” “casted,” and not a real competition.
Next he goes on to announce the top ten contestants to us—with his own humorous commentary. And he comes to us with background knowledge—he’s basing his opinions on clips from YouTube, the comedians’ websites, etc. Here are a couple of highlights:
-James Adomian: “Chose claim to fame is being a George W.
Bush impersonator, which is really relevant in 2010.” To put my own two cents in: I hate George W. Why would I want to watch a comedian impersonate someone I hate?
-Felipe Esparza: “Way to fill a quota, NBC.”
-Racheal Feinstein: “If her act was half as good as she looks, then she’d be a strong middle act by now.”
-Myq Kaplan: “Everything I f***ing hate in a comedian.” Don’t hold back now, Patrick. “Alternative, atheist, vegan, and he even changed the spelling of his name Mike to M-Y-Q to be different. What a waste.”
But he has some good things to say about the comedians of Last Comic Standing, too. You’ll just have to watch to see which comedians have his respect.
