Yes—the star of Glee, Matthew Morrison, is planning on releasing a solo CD.

We all know Morrison as the upbeat and supportive glee club leader Will Schuester on the Fox show. We all know he’s vocally talented—he sings during every episode. And now we may get to take a piece of Morrison’s musical talent home with us.

Morrison plans to spend part of June in London working on his first album. He says, “I’m writing all the music for it. It’s me and a big orchestra behind me.” But what kind of style is it? He describes it as a cross between Justin Timberlake and Michael Buble—but with a focus on dance music.

Glee has become something of a phenomenon, with “gleeks” across the globe buying the show’s soundtracks and falling in love with the show’s crooners—especially Morrison. And it’s not just the ladies that are falling for Morrison’s portrayal as Mr. Schuester. “I get a lot of gay guys,” the actor says. “I think Glee is one of the gayest shows on TV.”

Gay it may be, but I still love it. And Michael Morrison, I love you—and no, I’m not a gay guy.
