Bill O’Reilly chimed in recently about the McDonald’s commercial currently airing in France, as part of their “come as you are” campaign. O’Reilly and Jane Skinner discussed whether or not the gay Mickey D’s commercial made them hungry, and why McDonald’s would focus so heavily on the gay issue.

The McDonald’s brand director in France said, “We wanted to show society the way it is today without judging. There’s obviously no problem with homosexuality in France today.”

O’Reilly wondered if McDonald’s had plans to put together an Al Qaeda ad for their “come as you are” campaign, which has some people on the ‘Net suggesting he’s comparing homosexuality to being a terrorist.

I could care less about Bill O’Reilly and his outlandish opinions, but I do wonder why McDonald’s in France chose to focus on homosexuality in their campaign the way they did.

I shared the commercial with you earlier this week, wondering exactly what McDonald’s was trying to achieve, since the boy in the commercial wasn’t actually broaching the subject of his sexual preference with his father.

But to compare homosexuality to terrorism? For real, Bill O’Reilly? Do you even think about things before you say them, or do you just open your mouth and let the crap pour out?
