It’s the season for cancellations, and HBO series won’t be spared from the wave of cancellations. The Life and Times of Tim, an animated series by former advertising copywriter Steven Dildarian, was canceled by HBO after just two seasons.
The series followed mid-20s character Tim who is living in NYC with his girlfriend Amy. In short, The Life and Times of Tim follows…the life and times of Tim. While that may sound boring to some, the humor and quirkiness that is rampant in every episode has created something of a cult following for the show.
And I’d be willing to bet that hardcore fans aren’t too pleased about HBO canceling their favorite cult show.
But there is hope on the horizon, Tim lovers! There is a great chance that the show will continue on with another network such as TBC, Comedy Central, or on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim line-up.
The show isn’t a stranger to network-switching. It started out as a pilot at Fox in 2007. Fox passed, and then the show was pitched to Comedy Central, which also wasn’t interested. Finally Tim got set up with HBO and was run with another animated comedy series, The Ricky Gervais Show, which has been picked up by HBO for another season.
In short, I hope this isn’t the last we hear of The Life and Times of Tim.

HBO is crazy. It couldn't have been expensive to produce and the show is comedy gold. If you haven't seen it yet, hunt it down.
