Former child actor Gary Coleman died Friday at the age of 42, after being taken off life support. Coleman was admitted to the hospital on Thursday after becoming unconscious. The cause of the death has been cited as an “intracranial hemorrhage.”
Widely known as “Arnold” from the classic late 70′s, early 80′s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes, Gary Coleman was a bonafide superstar. Coleman suffered from Kidney disease his whole life and went through two transplants at a young age.
Coleman ran into some trouble after Diff’rent Strokes. From stints as a security guard to acting in local commercials, Coleman’s fame quickly faded into tabloid mania. According to doctors, intracranial hemmorhage is type of stroke and occurs when blood vessels in the brain break.
Earlier this year, Coleman suffered a seizure on the set of The Insider, but the two have yet to be confirmed as related.
