In March, the world received the same news that ‘80s teen icon Corey Haim had passed away. The actor was only 38 when he died, and there was a lot of speculation regarding drugs being involved, given Haim’s past drug problems. The autopsy revealed that the actor died from pulmonary congestion.

Reality star Daisy de la Hoya confirmed that she was dating Haim at the time of his death. The two were introduced by Corey Feldman and his estranged wife, and they hit it off instantly.

Daisy has been dealing with Haim’s death by venting over Twitter. Yes. She’s dealing with the death of a guy she dated by venting over Twitter. She tweeted, “I’m sooooooo devastated right now. This is the worst day ever I can’t believe this.”

And insider reported to Eonline.com that “Daisy knew Corey was doing a lot of drugs, especially prescription meds.

She thought he was kind and talented, and she wanted to rescue him. She became his confidant over the last few weeks. He told her a lot.”

Daisy echoes this by tweeting, “Why do I always fall for the lost soul? We could of been lost together, now you’re lost forever…I’ll miss you.” And yes, that’s directly from her Twitter account. Because you know I would have written the correct “could have” instead of “could of”.

Daisy appeared on Access Hollywood on Thursday, May 27, to talk about her loss.

I’m not trying to downplay what Daisy’s going through, but I find it really irritating that she’s using her Twitter account to deal with Haim’s death…and that she’s going on news shows to talk about it. Seems a little bit like she’s too eager for the spotlight to me.
