There so many spin-off shows in the world of televised drama. NCIS now has NCIS: Los Angeles. CSI has a CSI for every major city in the United States. There have been like seven Law & Orders. Why doesn’t anyone ever do spin-offs with popular sitcoms? Here are some Spin-offs I’d like to see:

1. Two And A Half Men: Death Valley. What better place for two friends to raise an overweight child than the sweltering ruined landscape of Death Valley? There the young boy could lose weight rapidly and learn to subsist on a diet of thin, sun-baked lizards and nettles.

2. The Big Bang Theory: San Andreas. Taking a cue from the hit video game series “Grand Theft Auto,” this spin-off would see Leonard and Sheldon vying for turf in an all out street war where blood is met with blood, and no means yes, with a bullet.

3. 30 Rock: Down And Out. With television ratings slumping, it would make sense for Liz, Kenneth, and Jack to all be let go, turn to hard drinking, and find themselves cramped together in a basement apartment in Queens. There they could still retain their quirky sensibility, but while having to work graveyard shift jobs at the meat-rendering plant, only to come home exhausted and unable to cope with the frustrations of modern blue collar poverty.
