American Idol winds down this week, starting on Tuesday night. In anticipation of the season finale, Ellen DeGeneres invited Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze onto her show Monday morning.

Before she had them play ‘Know or Go’ with two fans from the audience, DeGeneres asked the two how they were feeling about the end of the show. Both contestants admitted to being nervous and excited to face the music Tuesday night.

She then put each one in charge of answering questions for their rival’s fans. Ellen went on asking Dewyze and Bowersox questions about America, idols and music, confusing Lee Dewyze by asking him which country besides Canada bordered Niagara Falls.

Crystal Bowersox managed to get Dewyze’s fan dropped into the unknown ‘Know or Go’ abyss.

Poor Crystal was so worried about the girl, she kept asking Ellen what happened to her and if she was okay. Ellen responded in her usual nonchalance, saying she didn’t know, then went on to ask Lee what Joan Rivers’ daughter’s name was.

Of course, Lee had no idea, but his contestant mouthed the name to him, forcing Ellen to drop the cheater as well.

What a fun game. If I ever go on Ellen, I want to play ‘Know or Go,’ but I have a feeling I’d fall early into the abyss myself. Her questions seem almost purposely confusing, despite how simple they are.

If you missed Lee and Crystal on Ellen, here’s the video footage. And don’t forget to tune in Tuesday night for the first half of the American Idol season finale, where Lee Dewyze and crystal Bowersox face off.
