Oh, Lilo. You’ve come so far in the world of celebrity gossip. We’ve had bouts of dealing with your newfound lesbianism, and then there’s the constant struggle with alcohol and drugs.

But today, we’ll be focusing on the alcohol. The new ankle bracelet, called SCRAMx, that Lindsay is sporting checks her body’s alcohol level every half hour.

On Monday, May 24^th, Lilo left a Beverly Hills courthouse wearing the new non-fashion accessory. Judge Marsha Revel is the person to thank for this juicy bit of gossip. The judge ordered Lindsay to stay in California and not to drink alcohol or take drugs for the foreseeable future. This hearing took place five days after Lindsay was absent for a mandatory court appearance.

Her excuse? She was stranding in Europe without her passport. Because she was attending the Cannes Film Festival in France. For some reason, that doesn’t seem like such a dire situation to me.

According to Yahoo! News, “the bracelet uses the same technology as a Breathalyzer, but instead of checking the breath for alcohol, it samples the perspiration on the skin.”

This is Lindsay’s second time sporting an ankle bracelet, so hopefully she remembers which stilettos bring out the gray in the bracelet the best.
