The Real Housewives of New York is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I used to love picking out my favorite cast members and rooting them on during one of the many catfights that tends to happen on a regular basis.

Until Thursday’s episode of the show, Kelly Bensimon was one of my favorite cast members. She’s beautiful, driven, and isn’t afraid to share her opinion.

Now, I (along with millions of others) am wondering if Kelly’s outspokenness is actually because she’s certifiably insane.

Let me set the scene: several of the Real Housewives traveled to the Virgin Islands to enjoy some “girl time” and celebrate Ramona’s wedding vow renewal. What followed next was an insane outburst by Kelly that could rival any schizophrenic outburst.

First, Kelly raised some eyebrows when she got snippy at Bethenny’s joking offer to stomp some grapes to make wine for wino Ramona.

“I’m not eating those. You’re not stomping on those,” Kelly said, annoyed and taking things way too seriously. After several more uncomfortable moments including one where Kelly tried to storm off and couldn’t find her way through a glass door, Kelly and the pregnant Bethenny had it out.

Kelly told Bethenny that she was “defaming my kids and hurting my family. Nobody care about you Bethenny, no one.” Then she went on to totally insult Bethenny by stating, “You’re not a chef; you’re a cook. It’s creepy.” Um…okay. What exactly is creepy about that?

But then things got really out of control when Kelly flipped out, saying that she was afraid Bethenny would take her life. Huh?

It looks like it’s time for someone to up her Lithium dose.
