CBS continues to tease us with more Hawaii Five-O information and we just eat it up like candy.

On Wednesday, CBS released the new opening credits sequence for the remake show set to air Mondays at 10 p.m.  The video looks like an incredibly high tech version of the original, almost shot for shot at the beginning.

Hawaii Five-O will star Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer turned cop, who goes to the shores of Oahu to investigate his father’s murder.  Hawaii’s governor convinces him to stay and head up a new team using his rules, his brand of justice and her backing.  His team consists of Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (played by Scott Caan), a recently relocated New Jersey cop who’s adapting to the beach as opposed to the New York skyline, and Chin Ho Kelly (Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim), an ex-cop who was wrongfully accused of corruption who is also a former protege of McGarrett’s father.

Chin’s cousin Kono (Grace Park) is fresh out of the police academy and the native is ready to establish herself among the police department’s finest.  McGarrett wants closure on his father’s case and the new Five-O team is determined to clean up crime on the islands of Hawaii.

The biggest difference I’ve noticed so far (and it was glaring) is the part of Kono is played by a woman this time.  How will that effect the character?  I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.  Can the premiere come faster?  Please?
