Good Guys (8:00 p.m. EST, FOX)
In the series opener, the theft of a humidifier pushes two cops into a case involving drug smugglers, hired assassins, and a green golf bag. What can you expect from this series? Comedy and action, focused on a tact-challenged detective (Colin Hanks) and his washed-up partner (Bradley Whitford). I’m interested to see how this series works out—after all, there aren’t that many comedic action series out there right now. And I love Colin Hanks, so that always helps.
Ground War (9:00 p.m. EST, PBS)
This series investigates ground-war technological advancements. On tonight’s episode, learn about the evolution of soldiers and their body armor and weapons.
You’ll watch the evolution from pre-gunpowder weaponry to automatic firearms. Also, learn about possible future developments including robotic soldiers that may eventually take the place of human soldiers as well as wearable exoskeletons that will help to make our soldiers stronger and faster.
Cougar Town (9:30 p.m. EST, ABC)
During the first-season finale, Jules (Courtney Cox) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) come up with a way to tell Bobby (Brian Van Holt) that they’re officially a couple. Elsewhere, Travis (Dan Byrd) suffers after forgetting an important milestone in his relationship with Kylie (Spencer Locke).
