I can’t believe I’ve been tuning into American Idol now for three months, anxiously watching each week as fine singers from all across the country battle it out onstage to become the next Idol. After Wednesday night’s results, we will be down to the final two contestants, and I have a prediction for you.

I have a strong feeling in my gut that Lee Dewyze is going to win it. Now I’ve been an avid Mama Sox supporter since the beginning, and I still want to see her go amazing places, but Dewyze has really grown into an amazing performer over the last couple months.

He started out timid and with so little self-confidence, there were few who banked on him even making it into the top twenty. I wonder if any of those people are now choking on their bets, as he stands with humble confidence among the top three.

Tuesday night’s episode saw each of the three remaining contestants performing two songs: a judges’ choice and a song of their own choice. Simon Cowell chose the Leonard Cohen theme, “Hallelujah.” It was by far one of the most amazing performances of the entire season.
