So why is this big news? Because Charlie Sheen publicly announced that he was considering leaving Two and a Half Men. However, he has decided to stick around on the sitcom for two more years.

Sheen says, “To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights.”

What a tool.

I mean, seriously. Not only is Charlie Sheen involved in domestic dispute after domestic dispute after affair; not only has he had serious trouble with the law over and over again…but he is dumb enough to tell the world that he’s thinking about leaving a hit show and then announcing that he’s sticking around after a couple of months? Look at the facts: Two and a Half Men pulls in almost 15 million viewers each episode. That’s ridiculously successful.

I have a feeling that this was all for the publicity. What do you think?

Sheen’s contract expired in April, and that was when the actor set into motion the speculations about his leaving the show. But you can all breathe a huge sigh of relief—Sheen will stay on the show. But what happens when his contract expires again in two years? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
