Will Arnett is one lucky guy.

Fox just picked up his latest comedy venture called Running Wilde (formerly Wilde Kingdom).  In it, Arnett plays a rich “Beverly Hills jerk” who falls head over heels for a tree hugging socially conscious woman (played by Keri Russell) who can’t stand the way he lives his life or his values.  Apparently Keri Russell’s character is a woman from his past who, despite hating his ways as previously stated, does her best to change him for the better.  The show also stars Joe Nunez (Prison Break), Jayne Houdyshell (Garden State), and Stefania Owen (The Lovely Bones).

The pilot was co-wrote by Arnett, Jim Vallely, and the show’s creator Mitch Hurwitz.  The two men already have a history after working together on Arrested Development.

Lionsgate, Principato-Young Entertainment, and Tantamount are producing the show with Arnett, Vallely, and Hurwitz executive producing along with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Peter Principato and Paul Young.  The show will be shot in single camera format.

After three seasons of Arrested Development, the show was canceled by Fox.  The network has regretted it ever since.  Last year, Fox tried to bring the cast back together with the animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up, but the show was pulled after four episodes. This is the third try for a sort of reunion and let’s hope it sticks this time.
