Who Got Kicked Off American Idol May 12?

Anyone who missed the show is certainly wondering who got kicked off American Idol on May 12^th. Well, let me put it to you in simple terms: Big Mike got eliminated…for the second time.

If you remember, Michael Lynch (a.k.a. Big Mike) actually was up for elimination in early April, and the judges used their “save” to keep him in the game. While he managed to survive until the top four, it seems as though fans didn’t deem him worthy as a top three contestant. Unfortunately, I have to say that I agree. My two favorite Idol contestants are Crystal Bowersox and Casey James.

On the May 12^th elimination episode, Casey was the first to make it to the top three, which was something of a surprise, seeing as how he was widely thought to be voted off. Lee Dewyze was the second singer to make it to the top three, leaving Crystal and Big Mike wondering which of them would go home.

And Big Mike signed out of the competition with grace and gratitude, saying, “It’s been unbelievable, man. I just sit here right now, and I think, ‘I wasn’t even supposed to be here.’ Thank God for the judges saving me. I got to spend more time here, be with people…it’s all good, man.”

Future American Idol contestants, take note: that’s class.
