Twenty-six brand new episodes of Matt Groening’s animated sitcom, Futurama are in the vault over at Comedy Central. The network will not begin airing them until June 24, 2010 in the 10 p.m. time slot, but if you’re getting itchy waiting, they’re doing something special every weekday until then.

Monday through Friday until the season six premier, Comedy Central is offering a sneak peek of upcoming episodes from the new season on their official Futurama page. The previews include story boards, screen stills and videos. How cool is that?

So far there are a handful of photos and stills already posted on the site, and I am particularly intrigued by Bender disco dancing in full Saturday Night Fever garb at Studio 1^2 2^1 3^3.

Though I’m sure you guys out there will be far more intrigued by Leela in the garden wearing nothing but three strategically placed fig leaves.

Another nifty tidbit you may not have known (you know, like if you live under a rock,) is the premier episode is a full hour long.

So, now you don’t have to fret anymore about the fact the June 24 is nearly six weeks away. Groening, Comedy Central and company are going to make sure they keep us enthralled via the Internet until the season premier.
