The 2010 MTV Movie Awards are right around the corner, and it’s time for movie lovers to step up and cast their vote for who they want to go home with that bucket of gold popcorn.

This year’s event will air on Sunday, June 6^th, at 9:00 p.m. EST and will be hosted by comedian and actor Aziz Ansari. You might recognize Aziz from his role on Parks and Recreation. I love that crazy guy.

So which movies and stars are up for an MTV Movie Award? Well, there are loads of them hoping to go home with an award. And, undoubtedly, there will be movies and performances that you weren’t able to catch on the big screen. So MTV has gone the extra mile and has accompanied each nominee with a quick clip from the film depicting why they were nominated.

Best Kiss: Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in The Runaways.

Let’s be honest: girl-on-girl action is hot.

Best Fight: Beyonce Knowles versus Ali Larter in Obsessed. See above for comment.

Best Villain: Christoph Waltz from Inglourious Basterds. I hated that guy.

Biggest Badass Star: Angelina Jolie. Enough said.

Best Breakout Star: Zach Galifianakis of The Hangover. I laughed so hard that I cried.

Best WTF Moment: Bill Murray in Zombieland. Oh, I love that man.

Best Scared-As-Sh*t Performance: Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer’s Body.

Best Female Performance: Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side.

Best Male Performance: Pass. I literally couldn’t decide.

Best Movie: Alice in Wonderland. Even though there were two scenes in particular I could have gone without, this movie rocked the casbah.

Global Superstar: Johnny Depp. Love, love, love.
