I can only imagine how difficult it is for television networks to decide which show or shows to cancel and which to renew. Fox is going through its own crisis, as the network probably only has room for one more underachieving drama for its fall schedule, according to Entertainment Weekly. So it seems as though Human Target and Lie to Me are the two shows fighting for the spot.

Both shows are on the bubble and have ratings that aren’t anything to brag about. When you look at each show’s pros and cons, it’s still a difficult decision to make. Yes, Human Target is more expensive to make due to its abundance of special effects. And the show’s season finale sunk its ratings to a new low.

Furthermore, the show is produced by Warner Brothers, where Lie to Me is produced in-house, making it more cost-efficient.

On the other hand, Lie to Me is more established than its competitor, as it is already in its second season. And it has a great opportunity to show how great it can be when it returns from hiatus in June. But the real downer about Lie to Me is that it lost some serious talent when Shawn Ryan of The Unit and The Shield fame recently left the series.

But Fox still has some time to make up its mind. May 17th is the day to wait for; this is when Fox will unveil its fall schedule and all will be revealed.

I, personally, am not a huge fan of Lie to Me or Human Target, so I couldn’t care less which one is cancelled. How about all of you?
