Louis C.K. may not be a name known to all…yet. The comedian has been a writer for Saturday Night Live as well as lots of other comedy shows. He has also acted on tons of quirky sitcoms and films including Parks and Recreation and The Invention of Lying.

But for those of you who still can’t place exactly who C.K. is or what he stands for, get ready to be educated. His new series, Louie, will premiere on FX on June 29th. The video featured in this post is just one of many promos that the television network has released to push the new series. After watching the promo, I fell a little in love with Louis C.K. He’s funny, sarcastic, cynical, and makes me want to watch more.

And keep an eye out for comedy great Ricky Gervais—he’s in the promo and promises to add loads of laughter to the series.

Because the guy who created The Office is a genius—obviously.

According to Variety, “Louie is based on the star’s life and will blend standup material with what [FX president John] Landgraf described at ‘extended vignettes’ depicting moments from his offstage experiences.”

Looks like I found another comedian—and show—to love.
