Showtime released the above trailer for their new reality show The Real L Word, and it’s a little steamy. During the trailer, you’ll have the chance to meet the six women that will lead you through their lives as lesbians.

I was surprised to see the lack of “butch” lesbians. The only one that would even seem “butch” is Mikey, a professional woman who produces New York Fashion Week. She may not be a lover of make-up, and her hair’s a little boyish, but she’s all woman. As are the rest of the ladies.

Who’s your favorite? Mine is Whitney, the cute dreadhead with a tattoo sleeve. She confesses that the first week of shooting the show was filled with unexpected drama—oops! (But that means good things for the show—who doesn’t love drama?)

Then there’s the drunk who likes making out with tons of ladies but who is really just looking for love. Then you have the beautiful brunette Tracy who’s in a new relationship with a woman who has three kids. Baggage alert!

But Jill and Nikki may be the most interesting. The two are engaged and refer to themselves as “the straightest gay couple we know.”

I can’t wait to curl up on the couch with a glass of red wine, some dark chocolate, and the first episode of The Real L Word.
