Are you in the mood to go watch a bunch of Chuck fans have spontaneous flash mobs in major cities?

The fan site chucktv.net put forth the idea for these flash mobs, which will take place on Monday, May 3, in Chicago, Seattle, Philadelphia, and San Diego.  This site was also the generator of last year’s “Finale and a Footlong” campaign that made national news where fans bought footlong sandwiches from Chuck sponsor Subway.  The “Finale and a Footlong” campaign was to show NBC that the fans will support Chuck sponsors, but this campaign is to generate more interest in the show.  The mobs will be made up of fans dressed like workers from Buy More, the store where Chuck works.

Chuck fans are the most loyal, dedicated, imaginative, and passionate fans any show could ever hope for,” said Chuck co-creator Josh Schwartz.

“Every season they offer more proof they should be licensed and professional fans teaching other fans how it’s done. This is yet another example of their awesomeness. We are, as always, grateful and inspired to deliver a show as good to them as they are to us.”

NBC was reluctant to renew Chuck for this past season, but it’s been the most stable show on the network’s Monday night line-up this season.  Chuck is on the brink of renewal for next season, but indications are that NBC’s being bullish about it.
