So this weekend, upon looking into the vast sea that is the Internet, the news I could find generally revolved around children.  Not to overwhelm you with their cuteness, I threw in some other important news, just for kicks.  :)

If you’re a fan of NCIS, you’re probably familiar with Sean Murray who plays Special Agent Tim McGee.  It was announced over the weekend that Murray and his wife, Carrie, have given birth to their second baby!  River James Murray was born Thursday, April 22, in Los Angeles.  He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.  River has a big sister, Caitlyn Melissa, who’s just about to turn three years old.

Jennifer Carpenter, wife of Dexter star Michael C.

Hall, has announced that her husband has “fully recovered” from his  fight with cancer.  She added he’s been “incredibly brave” and has returned to work on the movie East Fifth Bliss opposite the incredible Lucy Liu.  Hall only announced his remission for his treatable form of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

On Saturday, April 24, Conan O’Brien brought his comedy tour back to Universal City in Los Angeles.  “This is my first time back to Universal Studios since I lost my job,” said O’Brien at the Gibson Theater, some 400 yards away from where he filmed The Tonight Show.  Sit back and enjoy an incredibly awkward show.”  O’Brien’s show had a collection of celebrity guests that aided O’Brien as the night progressed, but none got quite the reaction that Jim Carrey received when he came out (dressed as Superman) and sang “It’s Not Easy Being Me” as a duet with O’Brien.

The Gosselin clan got the green light to have the kids on television again.  The Pennsylvania Department of Labor has said, “The proper steps have been taken and the kids are permitted for Kate Plus 8,” meaning the right paperwork has been submitted and approved.  However, no paperwork regarding the kids has been submitted for Kate’s new show Twist of Kate, so the children may not be permitted to appear.

That’s all for this week!  Tune in next week to find out what happened while you were celebrating the first of May!
