The general consensus among True Blood fans worldwide: “Waiting sucks!”

Indeed it does, but the countdown to the series return has begun, and HBO is marketing the season three debut with some awesome promotional materials. With a series of trailers and posters leading us toward the June 13, 2010, debut of season three, I am literally squirming in my seat in greedy anticipation of the date.

Things definitely heated up at the end of season two, with Bill Compton’s mysterious disappearance and Sam Merlotte’s shape shifting abilities scaling to a whole new level of “wow.” Anxious fans, myself included, are ready to sink our teeth into season three, especially after the release of teaser clips like the one included at the end of this post.

The supernatural elements of the series make True Blood more than just another cheesy vampire series cluttering prime time.

True Blood is perhaps one of the better-produced series on television that caters to vampire, werewolf and swamp monster fans alike. It also contains a full cast of hotties, like Anna Paquin, Alexsander Skaarsgard and Stephen Moyer.

Tune into the official HBO True Blood site for continuous details about the upcoming season, including exclusive first look scenes from production that only suck us in further without revealing plot details, and the really cool posters. So far, my favorite is the Missing Bill Compton ad slapped onto a bottle of True Blood.
