AMC finally announced the season premier date for award-winning series, Mad Men. Fans of Mad Men will want to mark July 25, on their calendars, and set their watches for 10/9c, to guarantee they don’t miss episode one of season four.

In related news, AMC answered a statement made by Mad Men creator, Matthew Weiner that the series would probably end after its sixth season. The network said, “We trust Matthew’s vision and that he knows where to take the show. But with that said, M*A*S*H figured out how to stretch the Korean War for more than a decade, so stay tuned!”

The network also released a date for the two hour premier of their upcoming original series, Rubicon, a conspiracy/thriller starring Miranda Richardson and James Badge Dale (The Pacific).

Set in a New York-based government intelligence agency, my own personal hope is that it eventually develops into something similar to The X-Files, but we’ll see as the show progresses.

Rubicon will debut on Sunday, August 1, at 8 p.m., and will continue airing on Sunday evenings in its designated 9 p.m. time slot.

With the success of Mad Men and Breaking Bad, AMC has high hopes for Rubicon, and so do I. I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves this time.
