ACM Awards 2010 Winners

The 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards are over, and those who weren’t able to catch the full ceremony on Sunday night will be relieved to find out that the ACM Awards 2010 winners are posted for their viewing. Many people confuse the ACM Awards with the CMA Awards–a common mistake.

Several country stars scored big last night, including Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisely, Carrie Underwood, and more. Underwood won the “Entertainer of the Year” award for the second year in a row, making me wonder: are there any other good country music entertainers out there? She also won the Triple Crown Award for winning Top Female Vocalist, Entertainer of the Year, and Top New Female Vocalist.

The only other female who has done so in the history of the ACMs is Barbara Mandrell.

Brooks and Dunn were awarded with the Top Vocal Duo Award, which is fitting, as the group announced their plans to go their separate ways after completing the Last Rodeo Tour this year.

Lady Antebellum won five awards last night, Miranda Lambert brought home three, and Brad Paisley journeyed home with two awards. It was a big night for country music lovers, but the main question I have is: did anyone get overlooked who shouldn’t have been? What do you think?
