Director Michael Bay is making his way into your television.  Can you handle it?

The Transformers director is working with Top Chef producers, Magical Elves Inc., to produce the show One Way Out.  The show promises to be a “game with no rules.”

“For my first television project I wanted to do something that had never been done before, and I believe that One Way Out accomplishes that,” said Bay.  “Combining unique twists, death-defying challenges, and stunning visuals, we are reinventing the genre, showing just how far people will go when they are stripped of their bare necessities and forced to do whatever it takes to survive.”  Executive producer Dan Cutforth added, “One Way Out will take the reality adventure genre to the next level.  The no-holds-barred format and the intimidating locations will allow a true primal test of endurance to unfold.”

TV Squad’s Jason Hughes says, “It sounds a lot like Survivor on crack, featuring even more exotic locations and extreme challenges.”  There’s no word as to whether to show has been picked up for broadcast yet.

Death defying stunts sound interesting and the world of television may need a break from the constant stream of music or cooking competitions they have now.  However, this show sounds a bit too intense and may turn away competitors who don’t feel like staring Death in the face and spitting on him.  We’ll just have to see if anything comes of this.
