Larry King Divorce

On Wednesday, Larry King Live talk show host Larry King and country music singer Shawn Southwick filed for divorce at the Los Angeles County Court. The reason? Well, according to the papers filed, the couple is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the break-up. The two married in 1997 and have an age difference of 26 years…maybe the age gap has something to do with their “irreconcilable differences”.

King hopes to get joint custody of the couple’s two young sons (ages 11 and 9) along with no alimony, while Southwick is going for primary custody of the children as well as spousal and child support and real estate including the home she shared with her soon-to-be ex-husband.

The really crazy part of all of this is that this will be the eighth Larry King divorce. That’s right: he has been married eight times to seven different women.

After digging through article after article about the divorce between King and Southwick, I found a nugget of insanity: Southwick is accusing King of infidelity…with her sister. Ouch. And King is accusing Southwick of infidelity…with their kids’ baseball coach. Wow. Way to be a couple of role models for your sons, guys.
