On a much lighter note, James Van Der Beek has announced that he and his girlfriend Kimberly Brook are having their first baby. Van Der Beek made the announcement on Twitter saying,”Yes, it’s true — the woman I love and I are expecting our first child…
currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed.” Van Der Beek, best know for his role on Dawson’s Creek, is currently starring in the NBC drama Mercy.
If you didn’t know by now, Conan O’Brien is on his way to having a deal with Fox for a new television show. So far concessions have been made on O’Brien’s part- he’s taking a salary cut and production costs will be slashed. However, the host will not do the show unless Fox can assure the comedian that his show will be aired in all or most of the country. This means that the deal has been brought down to Fox’s affiliates who might be losing money scheduling O’Brien instead of the sitcoms that are currently on during that time slot. We’ll just have to see how far this deal goes.
A big congratulations goes out to Jane Lynch! The actress who’s taken on the role of Sue Sylvester on Glee has announced that she and her longtime partner, psychologist Lara Embry, are engaged to be married. ”We don’t have any plans at all yet,” Lynch said. “But I have a ring and everything. We’re very happy and very excited!”
So that wraps it up for this weekend! Tune in next week to find out what happened while you were enjoying this mid-April weather!
