Last week rumors surfaced that Charlie Sheen was battling with CBS executives over his contract, suggesting he was asking for way more money per episode than ever before to continue appearing on Two and a Half Men.
Sheen wanted to take a moment to set the record straight, saying in an E Online exclusive, “Both parties have known the score for over a year. In no way has this been a hasty or negligent eleventh hour surprise.”
Tonight is the final taping of the season, and if CBS does not renew Sheen’s contract, the show may go on without him. In response to the notion, Sheen said, “If tonight’s show is the end for me as Charlie Harper, so be it. Another journey has begun.”
Without Charlie Sheen, the show would become “One and a Half Men,” and though Jake and Allen are funny enough on their own, the series just wouldn’t be the same without Uncle Charlie.
So, when will we know the score? It’s hard to say, as CBS executives seem to be weighing their options rather carefully. I for one, will be waiting with baited breath to find out the scoop, as this has become one of my favorite night-time sitcoms.

Dear CBS, Please, please, please do not let Charlie Sheen go from CBS. He makes the whole show. It is the best show on earth. It gives so many people who are working so hard making deadlines at work, driving in heavy traffic, and other things we have to do in life something to come home to and watch the Charlie Sheen Show. Charlie Sheen gives you comfort even for the time it is on to have just for a moment to have laugher in their life and the family sits around and talks about the show waiting for a whole week to go by just to see him again that he keeps you in suspence of what is going to happen. The United States needs laugher. These are sad times and we need happy times in our lives. Once our men come home we can tell them about this show and it can help them for a moment or so to have laugher after they have saved our country. Your have know idea how much Charlie is in so many people lives. When you go into a grocery store, mall, work getting coffee how many people talk about Charlie and so many people laugh and that is one thing we need so much in our lives today. You cannot believe how one man can make the world happy in life. Please, keep Charlie on the show and renew his contract and what he is asking for. You do not see anything else on TV anymore that makes you want to come home to see the show that makes you happy. Thank you from my heart for even making the show to begin with. Also, I wanted to let you know alot of peole are in hospitals with CANCER and that show makes them happy even though they are in so much pain and hardly have much time to live they talk about the Charlie Sheen show. I called my friend who is dying of Cancer and asked him if he watched Charlie Sheen and he laughed and Charlie was so funny and my friend had chemo that day. Also, I have a father who lives in Maryland who is 82 and he gets his pop-corn to watch the Charlie Sheen show. I have another sister who just lost her husband and believe it or not Charlie gives her something to look forward to see instead of thinking of death. Then I have another sister who lives in Mississippi and will say wait till you see what Charlie did tonight. I tell her I can't wait till it comes on my time in Anaheim Hills Calif. SO, please, please, please, please, please, tell Charlie Sheen he makes alot of people happy and the rest of the crue. It will not be the same without Charlie. Alot of shows fail because the main person left the show. Please tell Charlie Sheen how much we love him. Alot of people have problems even CBS does. Please don't don't take Charlie off the show. He knows what he did was wrong and paid for it. But, I am asking you from my heart to keep the show going so we can have some laugher and happiness in our familes and life. Please give Charlie the money he is asking for. Don't let April 9, 2010 be the last show. Please, Please renew his contract. I believe you will see a difference Charlie who has changed and will work harder for the show. Please, renew his contract to make the world happy with laugther instead of sadness. All the love to Charlie Sheen who makes the world a happier place to live in and The Charlie Sheen Show. Thank You Again Janice Fennel (Anaheim Hills, Calif) P.S. Please reply if you can if Charlie will stay. Let Charlie see how much the world loves him because he has no idea how much difference he makes in peoples lives. Please let him see these notes. dondfen@aol.com (please reply)

The show would not be the same without Charlie. I love him, bad boy image and all; although I do worry about his health. Be good Charlie and come back to us who love you
