I love Gervais. He is perhaps one of the funniest people on television. As a writer and producer for NBC’s The Office, the proof about his hilarity is in the pudding. Gervais has also appeared on The Office, 24 and provided voiceover work for one of the hottest cartoons on television today: Spongebob Squarepants.

Gervais is a master of trades, having worked as a disc jockey and a music manager before he got his break in television and movies. A guy who does as much as he does successfully has to know something, so I’m just going to bite the bullet and buy whatever he has to say about evolution. Probably not the smartest thing in the world, but hey, at least his theory is amusing, and not in a “HA! I’m right and you’re wrong!” kind of way either.

Whatever you choose to believe about where mankind came from, I hope you at least allow this video to tickle your funny bone! I mean, it’s only Tuesday. I know I needed a good reason to laugh today.
