For the first time since Tiger Woods made headlines last fall due to his marital indiscretions, Woods will stand before reporters and news cameras for the first time to answer questions. The last time Woods stood before the press to talk about his infidelities it was to make a statement only, and reporters were not allowed to ask any questions.
In Georgia preparing for the Masters Tournament, which kicks off on Thursday, April 8, Woods will meet with members of the press in the Augusta National interview room in Georgia at 2 p.m. ET. Woods announced on March 16 that the Masters would be his big comeback to golf, though some of the Hollywood gossip hounds wonder if he shouldn’t take a little more time off to try and straighten out his personal life.
In related news, another of Woods’ past faux pas made headlines when his former kindergarten teacher, Maureen Decker, came out accusing him of lying about the acts of racism he faced as a child. Decker spoke last week to the press, with attorney Gloria Allred at her side, claiming the story he told was false.
Since the story was made public, Decker claims she suffered severe migraines and elevated blood pressure. She is asking Woods to make a public apology to her to make things right. There is a possibility that this issue will be addressed in the live press conference, which will air live via streaming video right here at 2 p.m. ET.
