Charlie Sheen may be walking out on the popular show Two and a Half Men says a source close to the actor.

Yesterday, People.com reported an exclusive that Charlie Sheen was thinking of leaving the show saying,“Charlie’s just done,” says a set source. “And he’s quietly telling his friends he’s not coming back.”  The same source says that Charlie just wants to move on and, “Leaving is 100 percent his idea.”

At first everyone thought this was an April Fool’s prank.  It’s not.

TMZ reported, “Sources directly connected to Two and a Half Men are laughing at reports that Charlie Sheen says he’s done with the show.” Instead of saying Sheen wants to walk out they claim Sheen is trying to re-negotiate his contract (which is up after this season’s 22nd episode).

Sheen has been offered $1 million per episode, but wishes to get $1.5 to 2 million instead.  Currently he’s making $825,000 per.

The main question is whether Sheen would be able to get work away from Two and a Half Men.  With his recent stints in rehab and run ins with the police, Sheen is not your most sell-able player.  Would he really be willing to walk away from potentially $48 million?

Be sure that you’ll hear about a decision closer to when CBS announces their fall line up.
