It was inevitable, no?  I paid tribute to the sultry brunette and the awesome firepower of the redhead so it is only natural that I would round out this follicle hat rick with the golden hues of the legendary blonde.  These sun kissed lemonheads have long been revered in popular culture serving as the unattainable visage of beauty itself.  Of course they just as frequently serve as the butt of the joke.  Unfair?  Maybe, especially when you take a look at my Top 13 favorite blondes of television:

13.  Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory, 8 Simple Rules…)

The woman behind the nerds, Kaley mixes girl in apartment next door crush with wit and humor and a smile to melt the iciest of hearts.  Plus, she wears pajamas like 80% of the show.

12.  Bonnie Hunt (The Bonnie Hunt Show)

I don’t know what it is, I’ve just always had a celebrity crush on Bonnie.  She’s smart, funny, Irish, and wears cool glasses.  Don’t believe the rumors ladies, glasses are sexy.

11.  Ashley Tisdale (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody)

Before you sling arrows at me for a Disney Channel show, Ashley was 20 when she began filming Suite Life.  Since then she’s lent her cute little overbite to the giant teen behemoth known as High School Musical as well as release some totally disposable CDs of music or something.

10.  Madeleine DuPont (The Olympics)

I’d probably put her a little higher, but for a TV article, I’m already stretching it.  However, my set was preoccupied for two weeks this winter with the Danish women’s curling team, their skirts,  and their screaming skip, Madeleine.  How much is a ticket to Copenhagen?

9.  Francine Smith (American Dad)

So hot, even the goldfish digs her.

8.  Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck)

A finalist in E! Online’s recent poll for TV’s Top Couple, Agent Sarah Walker puts the meow in tart frozen yogurt treats as Chuck’s handler and love interest.  So far, she’s dressed up in more costumes than a career sports mascot including the infamous Slave Leia bikini and she has some wicked butt kicking skills.  “Hello, spy school?  Is registration open?”

7.  Grace Lee Whitley (Star Trek)

You Trekkies know what I’m talking about, Yeoman Janice Rand!  After only eight episodes Grace was released from the original Trek for still unconfirmed reasons, but mostly because it would be hard for Kirk to pick up on the alien girlies with a Yeoman of this caliber waiting back in his quarters.

6.  Jordana Spiro (My Boys)

Every guy falls in love with the cute sports writer who downs beer faster than a frat boy in April, don’t they?  Jordana is the ring leader of a weekly poker game, has Jim Gaffigan for a brother, and really knows how to wear a pair of jeans.  Check please!

5.  Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)

Ummm…. vampire slayer, hello?

4.  Billie Piper (Doctor Who)

This is for Doctor Who only and not for Secret Diary of a Call Girl, where Billie looks just fine, but it is her British tart Rose that made the reboot of Who so enjoyable.  As a quirky shop girl turned love interest for a Time Lord, Billie mixed a sexy exterior with girl next door charm.  As if I needed another reason to be jealous of an immortal with a time traveling space ship!

3.  Alison Haislip (Attack of the Show)

Attack is probably the best show you’re not watching and features a host of beautiful women, not the least of which is the lovely Alison who has done everything on air from swimming with sharks to firing very large caliber machine guns.  Plus, she loves video games and talking nerd and used to be a bartender.  Sounds like girlfriend material to me.

2.  Joanna Page (Gavin and Stacey)

There is something about a perky Welsh girl and her inaudible slang that just makes me smile.  I could just listen to her not talk about anything across a diner table for hours.  If you haven’t seen her on Gavin and Stacey, you might recognize Joanna as one of the naked stand-ins from Love Actually.

1.  Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars)

My best friend has had a celeb crush on Kristen since season one of Veronica and I was always like “I’m not that into blondes.”  Then I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall.  Kristen, like many of my choices on this list, is ultimate girlfriend material.  She is quick witted, smart, and the kind of girl you’d be proud to bring home to the family.  Added bonus, looks fantastic in a bikini, including that Slave Leia one!  Big fan Kristen, big fan.
