It’s time for celebrity Jeopardy! A few times throughout the years, Jeopardy hosts a handful of celebrity players, and when they win the game, their winnings go to a charity of their choice. Last week, Cheech Marin, Anderson Cooper and Aisha Tyler went head to head in the trivia game of choice.

Cooper admits he went into the game feeling confident. There was no way Cheech Marin could ever beat him. The man is notorious for his long string of films and audio recordings from the 1960s and 1970s revolving around recreational marijuana. Cooper figured that Marin must have burned out a lot of brain cells during that time, so imagine his surprise when Cheech wiped the floor with the CNN anchor.

After the massive intellectual slaying, during which Marin won money for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Cooper invited Marin onto his show to talk about the game. He admitted, all in good fun, that when he heard he was going up against Cheech Marin, he thought for sure he had the game in the bag. Cooper even told Marin that he had serious doubts now that Marin inhaled during the filming of all those movies.

It just goes to show that no matter how intellectual you think you are, it’s possible there’s a philosophical ex-dope smoker out there who has quicker reflexes and a few good brain cells left to beat you with.

Cheers to Cheech!
