Turner Classic Movies Does St. Patrick’s Day the Right Way

Starting at 8:00 p.m. EST, TCM is honoring the Irish for this St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy 12 hours of classic films focused on the Irish including The Flying Irishman, My Wild Irish Rose, Peg O’ My Heart, and more. For all of you movie buffs out there that can’t turn down a black and white film, this channel has what you need for this St. Patty’s.
Leprechaun 4: In Space on Syfy

I don’t know about you, but when I think of St. Patrick’s Day, I think of leprechauns. And when I think of leprechauns, I think of the cheesy B-grade movies featuring the evil leprechaun. Apparently, Syfy is on the same page as I am. Count down all four Leprechaun movies beginning with Leprechaun 4: In Space at 10:00 a.m. EST. After the first Leprechaun finishes up at 6:00 p.m. EST, you might be a little weary of going out and drinking green beer. After all, a sadistic little leprechaun might come and get you.
QVC Gets in on the Act

St.
Patrick’s Day is just another excuse to buy things. At least, that’s what QVC seems to believe. Their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations begin at 11:00 a.m. EST and continue until 6:00 p.m. EST. During these hours, you’ll have the chance to spend loads of money on Irish jewelry, Irish home decorations, and other Irish-themed goodies. If you’re like me, though, you’ll stay away from QVC and keep your debit card in your wallet. After all, won’t that money be better spent on green beer and car bombs (the drink, not the destructive weapon)?
Celebrate St. Patty’s Day with Today

The folks at Today know how to honor St. Patrick: with dancing and food! During Today (7:00 a.m. EST, NBC), you’ll have the chance to enjoy an authentic Riverdance performance (I’ve always loved watching those Irishmen and women dance) and then jot down some festive St. Patty’s Day recipes to share with your friends and family later on in the day.
The Luck of the Irish on Disney

So while the kids might not enjoy the freaky horror of Syfy’s Leprechaun marathon or spending money on QVC Irish products, they’ll certainly love this St. Patty’s Day-themed movie on the Disney Channel. A teenager (Ryan Merriman) realizes he’s part leprechaun after he loses his lucky charm. What follows is a unique and bizarre adventure that this kid will never forget.
