I watched this very unique reality television show on TV Land which was surprisingly touching and, well – real. It was about these teenagers who fell in love and were forced to be separated.  The guy was an exchange student from Australia who came to live with this American family and their beautiful daughter. Long story short, her parents didn’t want any type of relationship between them and threw this guy out on his ear as soon as the sparks started to fly.

I have no idea what these parents were thinking to be honest.  A young beautiful teenager living under the same roof with a handsome, foreign teenage guy… I mean what did they really expect to happen?

Anyway, the reality show is called First Love, Second Chance and it is about these two teenagers meeting again, but 29 years later! They are brought back together after all this time and discover that they are still in love with each other.

Yes, they have grown children and she even has a boyfriend who she is in love with.

I found First Love, Second Chance to be a surprisingly interesting show that had a lot of different scenarios to be worked out. I mean, you didn’t even know if these two people would even be able to relate to each other after almost three decades apart. You didn’t really know if they even wanted to still be with each other until the very last five minutes or so of the show.
