I don’t watch a lot of game shows, but I have been known to partake in the occasional episode of Family Feud or Deal or No Deal. My Nana, on the other hand, was a bona-fide game show junkie. Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, Hollywood Squares, Jeopardy. It wasn’t uncommon to hear her remark in the presence of Alex Trebek, “That man can put his shoes under my bed anytime.” Of course, as a kid, I wondered why Trebek didn’t have enough storage under his own bed, but now I know she wasn’t talking about storage.

She also had a little thing for Bob Barker. After watching today’s video, I think I understand why. Apparently, Barker is quite the ladies’ man. Flirting with not only the contestants in this string of clips, but also making suggestive remarks to the game show models he worked with, it’s no wonder he got slapped with a big, fat sexual harassment lawsuit in 2000 by Price is Right models Linda Reigert and Sherry Friem.

Perhaps it was this type of behavior that prompted Barker to become such an avid spokesman for the ASPCA, reminding viewers about the importance of spaying and neutering for your pet’s health. Hormones can get a guy into a lot of trouble. I’m just surprised it took as long as it did, based on the evidence here, for someone to file a lawsuit.
