I have to say after watching the television show Trauma that this may be my next “must see” show each week. I have to admit that when it comes to television drama it often has failed to live up to my expectations. However, in the case of NBC’s televisions series Trauma, I have to say I was overwhelmed by the grittiness of this show.
They have assembled an excellent team of actors and actresses with many being familiar faces to me such as; Cliff Curtis, Derek Luke and Aimee Garcia. What really separates this show from others is the intensity of many of the tragic scenes which the actors did not undercut with poor acting. The acting in my opinion was top notch and it really made you believe these emergency, first on the scene, rescuers cared about saving the victims.
It was portrayed exactly how you would hope it happens in real life.
For whatever reasons the special effects, you know the collisions and explosions and the rolling tumbling scenes, seem to be at a higher standard than most made-for-TV series. I mean this series really shows some life-like catastrophes, which I’m sure is taking a toll on their production budget. But it sure impressed the heck out of me.
Overall, I really would have to say from this one show I watched that Trauma is much better than I ever imagined. It already has like 10 other episodes, which now I “gotta” go back and watch to get a better feel of the chemistry between the actors. Hopefully, like such shows as 24 and Grey’s Anatomy, Trauma will stay on my must watch every week list.
