Laverne Cox, Jamie Clayton and Nina Poon have teamed up with VH1 and Left-Right, Inc.  to create a new half hour show called Transform Me.  According to PR Newswire, each episode  follows the makeover of one woman badly in need of a transformation — on the outside and inside. The subjects quickly find out this won’t be your typical makeover. They’ll be transformed by three transgender women.”  Cox leads the team who will travel across the country answering “style 911 calls” in a “deluxe fashion ambulance, helping subjects find the right style — and the confidence that comes with it.”  The show is set to premiere March 15 at 10:30 p.m. EST.

Transform Me is a show about everyone who’s ever felt that the person they are on the inside isn’t quite reflected in who is seen on the outside.

Transgender folks are in many ways the ultimate example of this.  We’ve taken extraordinary steps to bring who we are on the inside…out, and we’re committed to helping other women do the same thing.  If we can do it, anyone can!” said Laverne Cox.

Laverne Cox was seen previously on VH1′s show I Want To Work For Diddy where contestants compete to be on P. Diddy’s payroll.  An actress, Cox has appeared on HBO’s Bored To Death, Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, along with various independent projects.

Jaime Clayton moved to New York City at 19 year-old to pursue a career as a make-up artist.  She now has over a decade of experience in the industry and has assisted some of the most famous artists around.

Nina Poon currently lives in New York with her boyfriend, producer and filmmaker, Robert Jason.  She was featured in 2008 as a model in Kenneth Cole’s international advertising campaign and has been on Fuse Network’s Pants off, Dance off and Style Network’s Split Ends.

I have deep respect for people who have a great sense of self and most of the transgendered people I have met in my lifetime truly have that.  I look forward to seeing these women work and getting some tips of my own.
