If you’re the type of person who can’t get enough of the Palins, this may be good news. To those of us who hiss (or scream and jump for the remote) when any of the Palins grace our television screens, the future is a dark and scary place.
Sarah Palin, with producer Mark Burnett, has been pitching a reality TV show to major networks (she’s made the rounds to at least NBC, ABC, and FOX) about her home state. The show would be a docudrama like “Planet Earth’ meets Alaska meets her family,” says one executive. Apparently she pitched this idea while she was in Los Angeles for her taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. One executive said, “There’s an awful lot of interest in her. As a short-order series, it might work. It would depend on what kind of footage you get.”
Since Sarah Palin ran as John McCain’s running mate, the family has not been out of the spotlight for a minute. After being defeated in the election, Palin turned her attention to Fox News, where she has become a regular contributor. Her daughter Bristol, after having a rather nasty custody battle with baby daddy Levi Johnston, got bit by the acting bug and is having a guest spot on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Now the whole family will be featured in this television show, if it gets off the ground.
Would you watch the Palin’s reality show?
