Rules of Engagement 300x300The Rules of Engagement season premiere was full of hilarious jokes and funny situations. The show was 30 minutes of pure comedy.

Russell (David Spade) accidentally left his cell phone in a girl’s apartment after a one night stand and asks Timmy to go pick it up for him. When Timmy arrives, he can’t find the phone and a bible study is going on in the house. Timmy finds out the girl that Russell slept with is recently engaged and during an awkward situation Timmy blurts out that Russell was there just when Russell’s phone rings and Timmy finds it.

Audrey is always complaining of how Jeff never reads her texts and that he needs to more often. Jeff has a pretty girl in the office flirting with him.

Russell convinces him to participate in the innocent flirting. Jeff’s idea of flirting is saying, “You got a pretty nice lady set-up going there,” which is the best line of the show. The girl wants Jeff in a bad way. He tries to break it off with her when Audrey comes in to meet Jeff for a doctor’s appointment. Jeff tries to break it off in text but sends the text to Audrey by accident.

Adam and Jennifer have set a date for the wedding and Russell does his best to scare Adam out of it.

The show was funny as always. Jeff is so unromantic. Seeing him try to flirt was hilarious. There have been previous rumors that CBS was planning to cancel this show. All have to say is, “Don’t.” I need my dose of Patrick Warburton’s dry charm.
