Using songs to teach children about their country, and give them a sense of pride is a long-treasured pastime. If you happen to be Canadian, you probably know all three of your countries anthems: “God Save the Queen,” “O Canada” and even the unofficial anthem: “The Maple Leaf Forever.”

Even if you’re not a Canadian, you might be curious about the country. Now you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about Canada from The Office.

Dwight put together a little diddy about the provinces, territories and natural resources from the Great White North and shared it with his coworkers when they were pondering Nova Scotia. He doesn’t mention hockey or beer, but it’s a catchy little tune.

According to Dwight, he’s composing a song about every country, but he hasn’t gotten very far yet. The lack of enthusiasm from his co-workers would suggest we won’t be hearing any of those new compositions in the future, and I highly doubt the Olympics committee is going to be using Dwight’s Canada song this year. Ah well, maybe he won’t get discouraged and will start working on a song about Pennsylvania, or the history of Scranton. As a proud Pennsylvanian, I’d be on board with that.
