Last night Walter and Judy Koenig were set to speak on Larry King Live, but they ended up walking out on the news icon.

Walter Koenig (he played Chekov on the original Star Trek) and his wife Judy held a press conference earlier in the day giving the world and update on the disappearance of their son,Andrew Koenig.  Andrew is still missing as of today and we all are hoping that he’s just laying low.

The Koenigs were set to speak about their son on Larry King Live last night, but with the death of a Sea World trainer and the Toyota hearings, Walter and Judy’s discussion got pushed back to the last five minutes of the program.  Larry King came on to say, “Folks, for some reason.  They left the studio in Vancouver.

We checked them out. They were prepared to go on. I said hello. They said hello. We said we’ll be on in two minutes. They said fine and they got up and left for reasons unknown.”  King added later on Twitter, “Still not sure what happened with the Koenigs. I talked to them in the break and told them they were on next. Then they left…”

While the Koenigs maintain that they left for personal reasons, Danielle Koenig told Zap2It that it was because their segment kept getting pushed further and further back.  “When [Walter Koenig] realized there were only four and a half minutes left, he didn’t feel that was enough time to do my brother justice. So, he left.”  I guess King’s people didn’t realize how important their son’s disappearance is to the Koenigs.
