Shaun_White_Halfpipe_300x300Many people are saying that Shaun White is the best snowboarder in the world. Well, he proved it at the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver. The American legend, Shaun White, won gold in the Men’s Halfpipe.  White is the kind of athlete people love. He is fun, friendly and he is always coming up with new movies no one else has tried.

White or “The Flying Tomato,” took to the pipe with a crowd full of cheering fans.  After already winning one gold medal, White took on the challenge of producing another gold for the USA. Wednesday night was Shaun White’s night.  His first run has a score of 46.8, which set the bar high for the other competitors.

On the second run he was meticulous with his double flips and McTwists.

Whie performed a Double McTwist 1260, a move that no one has been able to duplicate yet. This run produced a score of 48.4. It was obvious Shaun White had won Gold. Finland won Silver and Scotty Lago from the USA team won bronze in the Men’s Halfpipe.

Everyone had high expectations of this Carrot Top look-a-like and their expectations are right. He is cool under pressure and nailed the run like no one else. Thanks to Shaun White, America has produced two of the three top men’s halfpipe boarders in the world.
